So.

How do I report a fishing e-mail to Amazon.com?

Because I totally just got one. It was very impressive, except for the misspelling of 'inquiries' as 'inquires', the fact that it was all one paragraph, and that if you open their website, my name appears as 'Maureen' instead of 'Mary'

That is v. impressive, indeed! Mine never went so far as to have my name; but then, they were never sent to the right email, anyway.

Will find the address for you to forward the phishing email to in just a sec.

The second I saw it, I was like, 'this can't be right,' And then it was like, 'we need your pin number.'

Welll, for one thing, I don't have a PIN. And it said pin number, which amazon should really know better than to do.

*can't be arsed to log back out*

So, what, do I just forward it on?

Heeeeeee.

What's sad is, even with everything you see being all, "(such-and-such place) will *never* ask for personal details in an unsolicitated email," I'm still kind of half-tempted to believe they're real every time.

I know! me too! somehow even when it's a bank I don't have an account with. i got a weird identity-theftish phone call yesterday from someone who was calling "from the publishers of your magazines" and wanted to know about my credit cards, and I was like "are you doing a survey? because this is unsolicited and it's kind of creepy" and they hung up.

I was telling Vampy earlier that I got an Amazon.com spoofed email in an account that isn't even associated with Amazon.com, and it *still* took me, like, five minutes to decide what to do with it. Damn creepy bastards.
