BSG Rocks My Socks in a Box (With Fox?)

Second reaction: *once again offers
rhi_silverflame booze* SO JOSSED.
And now for the
1. So, like, are the four on Galactica the only ones of their model because they don't have access to a Resurrection Ship (the Cylons only came up with it to chase the fleet, remember), or what--OH! I JUST HAD AN EPIPHANY. Who said the fleet following them is the SEVEN? It could be the Five!
2. Despite the above epiphany, it has occured to me that just because Tory, Tigh, Anders, and Chief THINK they're Cylons, this does not necessarily mean they ARE Cylons. In fact, remember, Anders and the Chief said the music (omg music) sounded like "something from childhood." So maybe they're somehow originally from Earth? I am open to possibilities here.
3. OMG SIX PUT THAT BABY BACK EVEN IF SHE IS A HALLUCINATION. Regardless of what this show would have you believe, babies are NOT FOR STEALING.
4. And what was Sharon doing with Hera in sickbay again? For a baby with magical cancer-curing blood, she sure does get sick an awful lot, doesn't she?
5. Caprica never testified, did she? WTF? Though this may turn out for the best, as while Baltar is technically innocent of the charges against him this time, he's still guilty of a whole lot of other stuff. Let's list them, shall we?
1) the Cylon attack
2) the blowing up of Cloud Nine and therefore
2a) the Cylons finding New Caprica
3) the assassination of Admiral Cain
4) the second kidnapping of Hera Agathon (though, yes, that could also be classed as a sort of rescue)
5) the faking of the Cylon detector, which probably qualifies as treason/war crimes
6. I'm still holding fast to the Fifth Column theory. And so far it's holding good--we've got civilian (turned pilot), government, deck crew, and CIC. All planted right next to the most important people in the fleet: Kara Thrace and Her Special Destiny, Bill, Laura, and known-enemy-agent Boomer. "I'm here for you, Bill." "Madam President, I'm here if you need anything." I know those are not the exact quotes, but still. Anders held Kara together when she wanted desperately to fly apart at the seams, Tyrol tried to help Boomer fight it. With Kara gone, Anders takes her place in a cockpit, filling the gap, doing what needs done. They're here to help.
7. And I can't help but wonder if maybe Chief isn't such a sleeper. He doesn't flip out, he just says, "It's true, we're all Cylons." Maybe he knew all along, to some degree?
8. Nicky Tyrol is now problematic. I see a few possibilities.
A) Chief's not really a Cylon
B) Somehow Nicky's never had a blood test of any kind done, so that 'no blood type' thing hasn't come up
C) It HAS been done and Doc Cottle's been keeping the results secret for some reason
D) Cally lied about the father of her child
I suppose E) true love is also a possibility, but I'm not feeling it.
8a. If Chief is really a Cylon, Cally is going to LOSE HER ENTIRE MIND.
9. I don't even know WHAT to think about Kara and Bob Dylan and North America. I. Wow.
Is it 2008 yet?

Date: 2007-03-26 09:57 pm (UTC)I know; all we got wrong were a few of the people, which is understandable, since they threw all those boys at us. The Cylons are not much for gender equality, huh?
I think the fact that the missing models were singing an Earth song reinforces the idea that they're working to save humanity, since it implies that they've already been to Earth, or at least have been close enough to hear satellite transmissions. And at least three of the five are directly responsible for the escape from New Caprica.
Somehow Nicky's never had a blood test of any kind done, so that 'no blood type' thing hasn't come up
Has it been established that Cylons don't have blood types, or that hybrids don't have blood types? I don't remember that, but I'm really bad with this stuff. At any rate, maybe Callie is also a Cylon, and Nicky is pure Cylon. Or maybe all methods of Cylon detection were discounted after Baltar's credibility was destroyed.

Date: 2007-03-26 10:01 pm (UTC)I'd have to rewatch the episode where Roslin's cancer gets cured (my memory for ep titles is shot right now), but I think they said Hera, as a hybrid, doesn't have a blood type. Hybrid blood cells are definitely unusual enough for it to show up in a test, though. And it was Cottle who detected the oddities with Hera's bloodwork, not Baltar, so there's no reason to discredit it.

Date: 2007-03-26 10:11 pm (UTC)And Tigh's like, old. I really want to see how they jive all his history with him being a Cylon.
I do, too! At first, I was like, "Nuh uh; not possible! The Cylons haven't even been evolved for 40 years!" But maybe they have been. This is season three, and we had a one year time jump between two and three. Maybe it only took the Cylons a year or two to evolve, then they immediately sent agents to Caprica. My new theory is that the five are the five models the Cylons sent to spy on humanity, and those five models got a little too attached to humanity and weren't keen on the idea of destroying them. Hence their split from the rest of the models, and their working to help humanity.
It's also possible that Tigh hasn't really served 40 years but just thinks he has, etc. I can't remember how many years ago he met Adama, but maybe that was when he really started serving.
