2. Take the first sentence of the first chapter and make a list in your journal.
3. Don't reveal the author or the title of the book.
4. Now everyone try and guess! Cross them off as they're guessed correctly.

These are taken from the books I have here at school, and so represent less than a full section of my library. To make it sporting, I am limiting myself to one book per author, which should give you a hint.

10. It's only a half hour since someone--Robyn, I think--said we should write everything down, and it's only twenty-nine minutes since I got chosen, and for those twenty-nine minutes I've had everyone crowded around me gazing at the blank page and yelling ideas and advice. Tomorrow, When the War Began by James Marsden, also guessed by [livejournal.com profile] delurker

*Telly: I don't know what number one is, but it looks really familiar, which might have something to do with how I'm commenting with an icon based on its cover.
Vampy: Mock mock mockity mock.

Is number 3 All-American Girl by Meg Cabot? I'm fairly certain it's a Meg Cabot book. (I haven't read it, but I read the first page because everyone on my flist loves her and I needed to see what the fuss was about, outside of Princess Diaries.)

4 is Dragon's Bait! ♥♥♥

I know I've read 3, and 1 looks awfully familiar, but I'm not sure. Is 7 Tithe?

Hee.

Telly says my favorites are too easy. I pointed out that she only got two of them and had to Google a third.

(and she really, really should know number one, but don't tell her I said that)

From: [identity profile] auroura76.livejournal.com
Well, as I generally am terrible at doing these memes, it must be kinda easy if even I can do it. I'm really, really dumb, and horrible at English literature. So, yeah.

Still, I got two! Without Google! I feel special.

Huzzah!

From: [identity profile] vampychick.livejournal.com
No, I'm not mocking you!

You said my meme was easy, but I'm still not mocking you!

Date: 2005-04-21 03:47 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] auroura76.livejournal.com
Well, fine, numbers 2 and 3 were easy! If it makes you feel any better, #2 didn't register with me until after I had done #3. I had to go over it a few times until it clicked. I used brain cells! So, not completely easy! I'm just going by my (up until now) piss poor record at these guessing memes!

How many more exclamation points will I use?! One more! And another! And another! And --

Okay, I'm done. (!!!)
