A Suncoast Tale
Apr. 25th, 2005 09:53 pmApparently the second FMA DVD goes for sale tomorrow, because it was already on the shelves at Suncoast while I was in there this evening. I went to the mall planning to just window-shop, but the opportunity was too good to miss. So I snatched it up, and continued my prowling. And then I noticed the price tag on a boxed set of Star Trek: Voyager's first season--somewhere upwards of a hundred dollars. That seemed extremely pricey to me, as opposed to Suncoast's usual modus operandi of 'very pricey' so I glanced down at the DVD I already had in my hands.
It was thirty bucks.
How shall I put this delicately? Fuck, no.
I nearly marched up to the counter and asked, "How about I give you fifteen dollars and you give me the DVD like sensible people?" but I figured they might laugh at me, so instead I quietly put down the DVD and slunk out. It shall be mine another day.
At a semi-sensible rate.
