1. Dude. I honestly thought she was going to save Dumbledore's death for book seven, the last big dramatic death. Shows how much I know. She's going to have to kill off someone big at this rate.

2. I totally did not call Snape being actually evil. Actually, even after that scene in the first chapter, and for most of the rest of the book, I was like, "He's still good! He's still good!"

3. But things are looking up for a reformed Draco. Poor thing, sobbing at Myrtle in the girls' toilets. How the mighty fall.

4. My reaction to Dumbledore's death was more subdued than it might have been. First due to my thinking, "Okay, and who else died?" and then

4a. "OMG BILL'S FACE NOOOOO!"

5. I knew all along it was Snape's book.

6. Good on Regulus to destroy that Horcrux, wasn't it? (I truly believe there is no way in hell I am wrong on this one.)

TR's getting the book next, but as soon as I get it back from her and re-read it, I'll probably have more to say.

1. I kinda think Harry's going to die in book 7, as The Last Dramatic Death. I mean, I hope not, but it kinda seems like he has to, in order for Voldemort to really die. (What I mean is, if you look at the ways that Harry has been affected every other time he's fought Voldemort- well, he *barely* lived through those. So, if Voldy dies (which I'm thinking he will), then I think Harry will die from pure strain and/or his connection with Voldemort.)

I could easily see this happening...

Book seven = Return of the Jedi.

Voldemort = Emperor. Harry = Luke. Snape = Vader.

Me too, exactly. Especially since Dumbledore = Obi Wan. And, you know, Ron/Hermoine = Han/Luke.

It's funny, because I was talking to a friend of mine at work about the book this week, and he said "This is going to be the Empire Strikes Back book, isn't it? Everything bad is going to happen."

(Ron and Hermione= Han and Luke? But I thought Harry was Luke...)

Right, I meant Han/Leia. Harry is clearly Luke.

I think you're bang-on there, especially since I've become less and less convinced since finishing the book that Snape is actually evil.

I don't get any of you peoples' Star Wars references, but I'm with you Vamp -- there is more to what happened with Snape than meets the eye. No, I'm not in denial. [/is really not in denial]

The more people talk about Snape not being evil, the more nervous I get about JKR screwing us over about it in Book 7. I WANT THAT BOOK! I WANT TO KNOW!

4a. "OMG BILL'S FACE NOOOOO!"

Heeee!

Also? ITA.

After Dumbledore died, Bill's attacked, and I'm like, "Noooooo! NOT A WEASLEY!"
