What A Day It Has Been
Aug. 24th, 2005 06:41 pmLook! Serenity poster!
teleute12 says, "Stop making me want to ship River/Mal, crazy poster!" I say, "Ooooh, preeeeetty."
I have completely resigned myself to seeing Serenity with the rest of the plebes. Telly went on for a few minutes about a sold-out showing like, tonight in Birmingham before realizing that the site meant England. I have also recruited someone to see it with. Forcibly. Perhaps 'recruited' isn't the best word. 'Conscripted', maybe.
Me: Here, watch these. You have until September.
TR: You tried to make me watch this show before. I wasn't interested.
Me: Yes, but there's a difference now.
TR: Which is?
Me: This time, you don't have a choice. You will be assimilated.
Also, like, omigod, the Brokeback Mountain trailer's up at CNN. Hello, my pretty gay and woobie cowboys. I've been waiting for you (I'll have no trouble getting TR to go with me to that one, at least).
School started today. I had forgotten most of the Russian, but less than I thought I had. And most of the others were in the same boat (one guy was annoyingly knowledgeable). Dr. D swears it'll come back to us quickly. I really hope he's right.
I ran into one of the guys from Greece on my way to my car after lunch. And I saw one of the girls the other day while I was in the car with TR, but I didn't realize it was her until later because she'd dyed her hair BRIGHT PINK WOW. Her new facebook picture, with the BRIGHT PINK hair, was what finally tipped me off. It looks really good on her, but Og knows I could never pull something like that off. Ah, well, I have a new swishy skirt to wear tomorrow (since most of my classes' first day is tomorrow) and yellow nail polish. I shall have to be content.
I feel sick. And tired, because I have had insomnia for the last week like whoa, but mostly sick. My stupid sinuses have chosen this week to act up, and they're making me unable to think properly.
