So. The price of gas at the station by my apartment has gone up twenty cents today.

Literally, I left for class and it was $2.48, came back and it was $2.69.

I don't have a car, but my roommate does, and the same thing happened to her yesterday.

She also swears we broke $3.00. It's sad that I don't even think she's exaggerating on this.

Well, if I remember the stats correctly, about a quarter of the gas for domestic use comes from the Gulf of Mexico, chiefly through New Orleans and Mobile. So this isn't really a surprise, but damn, I should have filled up my car yesterday.

Same here; I got gas this morning for 2.59, and when I passed the same station after work it was 2.89.

James got gas at 2.59, but the price actually changed to 2.69 while he was still filling up!

I went back to campus this evening for Russian club, and it had gone up to 2.79.
