Squee, Then Some Lists
Oct. 19th, 2005 01:27 am1. My cousin had a baby! Today! His name is Ian and he has black hair and chubby cheeks and weighs nine pounds, four ounces so yeah, big baby. Eeeeeeeebaby!
2. My tentative schedule for next semester, which parties In The Know (AKA Cat and TR) have described as 'erratic':
English 301 (Prose Tour): Wednesday 7:00-9:30
Me: That's seven PM, right?
My advisor: God yes, as far as the English department is concerned seven AM doesn't exist.
So I'll have to tape Lost.
English 308 (Forms of Creative Writing): Thursday 2:00-4:30
I was originally going to take section 4 with TR, but then my advisor showed me the course description for section 1 and I changed my mind. And whipped out my cell phone to call TR right then and there. "We're taking section one, you're going straight from there to work, and you're going to like it." The reason? The reading list includes America: The Book. YEAH.
English 333 (Shakespeare): Tuesday/Thursday 9:30-10:45
Russian 202 (Intermediate 2): Monday/Wednesday/Friday 11:00-11:50
Requirements. 202 hangs on my actually passing 201.
BUI 301-002 (The Uses of History): Tuesday 2:00-4:30
Creative writing multidisciplinary class, about how writing about history can change our perspective of it. To which I say, BWEE!
3. Things I have eaten/drunk today, w/ approximate times.
* A venti white chocolate mocha, 9 AM
* Half a Sprite, half a bag of chips, half a bag of Mike & Ikes, 2 PM
(Lunch hour spent doing the advising runaround)
*A chicken salad sandwich, an apple, a chocolate chip cookie, and a glass of apple juice...midnight.
4. The Term Papers of Me
* Maus From a Historical and Literary Perspective (8-10 pages, English studies)
* Methods used in the restoration and reconstruction of Grecian statuary and architecture (8-10 pages + powerpoint presentation, multidisciplinary class)
* Sexual abuse/homosexuality in the Holocaust (16-20 pages, religious studies)
The last one is so long because TR and I talked our professor into letting us co-write it, otherwise it would be the same as the others.
