Are You Goin' To Alabama?
Apr. 18th, 2006 09:17 pmI'm getting a
teleute12 for my birfday. ZOMG. Now I have to figure out what to tell my parents. "She's a crazy internet person," may not go over too well...hmm. Telly, how do you feel about having met me at summer camp? :)
*starts burning Alabama mix CD for to send the Telly* *plans to terrorize the Telly with cows or possibly mosquitos*
And! The termite guy came and sprayed some foam in my windowsill that he says will kill the bugs dead. Yay for dead buggies! He also says they were definitely termites, and that a few of the buildings are having problems with them. Apparently these buildings weren't treated properly when they were built, which doesn't surprise me. They're nice apartments and all, but they cut a lot of corners like that. The crown molding in my living room doesn't reach the corners properly, which is really just an aesthetic thing, I know, but at TR's, they had a time with their wiring. As of now, the light in my closet doesn't work (I changed the bulb twice, so it's not that), I just haven't remembered to tell them to come fix it. But the new owners are going to have the whole place treated at once as soon as they figure out the best way to do that, so yay.
So that was the good stuff today. The annoying stuff:
1. The apartment people needed a copy of my key, and when they gave me back the key after they made the copy, they gave me the copy. Which does not fit my lock. I'm getting it fixed tomorrow morning, but right now, I can't go anywhere because I can't lock my apartment if I leave.
2. I lost my college ID. It's not just misplaced, I'm pretty sure that sucker is gone. And since it's required for me to get out of the parking deck every single day, I have to get that taken care of right away, and they're going to make me pay for the new one.
3. I just dyed my counter pink with strawberry soda. *facepalm* I am so smooth sometimes. One of the FH people says those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers should take it right out, and I thought I had one in my cache of cleaning supplies, but I was wrong. And I can't leave to get one because I can't lock my door.

Date: 2006-04-19 07:32 pm (UTC)And it wouldn't be hard to pretend I like horsies, but surely there is a difference between having feed horsies grass and patted their pretty noses, versus having gone to a camp about riding horsies?

Our Wolfram player is telling the chat how the story she's workshopping (or reviewing or whatever the term is) for her college-level creative writing class is a Tainted Love songfic. ...Yeah.
