I HAVE A COUCH!

I had a couch before, but it was old and stained and orange and ripped and had tropical flowers on it and the fabric was kind of scratchy. But it was free, because when my cousin Lee got married, his new wife refused to let it in the house because Kat is sane.

Telly didn't think the couch was that bad. I strongly disagree.

So, my mom hated the couch even more than I did, if that's possible, and told me flat-out that when I find a termite-free place to live, she is not moving the couch. So I took my birthday money from my parents and grandparents, and my first paycheck, and I pooled them all and today we went and bought my beautiful, beautiful couch. We have to put it together, so there will have to be family bonding time*, but it's MINE ALL MINE.

And see, the arms go up or down so it can be a sort of little couch (actually more like loveseat sized) or a chaise lounge or a twin bed. It is multifunctional whee!

*We'll be lucky if no blood is shed. We don't have a good track record with putting together furniture.

I don't know if any family has a good track record when it comes to assembling furniture together. It's a recipe for disaster, is what it is.
