So I was hitting StumbleUpon to calm myself from my near call with some dude who couldn't learn to hustle, and to avoid starting my homework, and, well.

LOOK WHAT I FOUND.

I lost the original photo years ago, but...this one's pretty close. Oh man.

To the rest of you, I can only say: I have not lost my mind.

Yep, still feel slightly dirty looking at that cat. The spirit of Meta lives on.

I have no idea what that cat means. Does it have something to do with Aardsy?

Yeah, it probably was Aardsy who came up with it, or at least he was the one who ran with it. It was sort of the Meta mascot. Lots of photoshopping was involved.

It was named Strawberry something, maybe? I think it was a pirate kitty? Christ, it's been a long time.

Strawberry, yeah. It was a pirate. I have no idea how it became a pirate, but I distinctly remember lobbying that the kitten was to be named Strawberry. I think someone else found the picture--it may even have been Aardsy, and then I ran with it, and then came the photoshopping. So very much photoshopping.
