Scene of the Crime
Jul. 25th, 2009 07:01 pmA Smurf was murdered in my bathroom, and its blood has stained my hands.
Well, not really.
I have this skirt, right? It's cute. Dip-dyed, tiered, blue-green, cute. I've gotten compliments the couple of times I wore it. But then I spilled coffee on it and I was like, "SIGH, I guess I have to actually wash it." It's hand-wash, and I'm lazy, what can I say?
And then I got it in the water and the damn thing POURED dye. I swore, washed it until the water ran clear like you're supposed to in this situation, and twisted it into rope form to dry. Apparently with some of the lighter area touching the darker, dye-pouring area, because when I untwisted it this afternoon because it wasn't effing drying, there were highly unattractive blue blotches on the light area. I swore, consulted my mother, and then stuck it back under the water to rinse. Fifteen minutes later, the damn thing was still bleeding dye, half my bathroom was splashed with blue, my hands were stained, and the blotches were no less blotchy.
So now I've thrown it in the washing machine on delicate, because I had no other ideas, and we're going to see what happens.
