I have come to the not-so-startling revelation (with help from juliedarling's delightful CD [by the way, you are my new goddess]) that fifty percent of the time, I have no idea what the fuck George Bush is talking about, and the other fifty percent of the time, he just sounds like an idiot. Can someone explain to me why people actually plan to vote for this guy? It astonishes me.

And the responses to this question I'm getting from people on campus (I have asked) make little more sense than W himself. Have found that if I keep saying, "No, he hasn't," I'm telling the truth and responding to them all in one fell swoop. Am beginning to think my plan of chucking all hope for this nation and transferring to University of Toronto was a good one.

On an only marginally tangentially related note, I was going to post a wee bit on Brokeback Mountain from Premiere magazine, but I left it on the counter at home. Ah, well. Some other day.

The fact people think he's this great leader (CHURCHHILLIAN? The only response is, THE FUCK?) floors me. And makes me think that our public school system is worse off than I thought if this man comes off as bright.
