teleute12 made me watch Full Metal Alchemist tonight. I'm hooked. I freely admit it. I could see myself spending quite a large amount of money on this series.

vampychick: The younger boy's voice annoys me.

teleute12: Yeah, the dub voice is a little flat.
teleute12: Otherwise, though, they did a pretty good job.
vampychick: I liked the whole thing with the chimera, if only because chimerae are cool, and Edward's like, "Bitch, please."
teleute12: They are indeed.
vampychick: How does he make the pike-thingy without a circle, anyway?
vampychick: Do we know?

teleute12: I know.
teleute12: I'm not telling.

teleute12: It's too complicated at the moment!

teleute12: This show, they start off really simple and they build on that. Like with the scene at the beginning - we don't see everything that happened then until, like, the thirties episodes.
vampychick: You are dancing around the point.
teleute12: And we don't learn what's the deal with his not having to use a circle until late fourties.
teleute12: All I am going to say is that it has something to do with that failed human transmutation.
vampychick: Blah, blah, blah, they monkey's-pawed their mom and fucked up, I get that. They are both being oh-so-cosmically punished, I get that too.
vampychick19: Yeah, I figured that out, too.
teleute12: Right.
vampychick: Because anything he can do anyone else can't do, I've automatically got to suspect of being a result of the monkey's-pawing incident.

vampychick: It's kinda funny, though, that he's like, "I'm the Full Metal Alchemist," and everybody's like, "Shouldn't he be the Full Metal Alchemist?" without ever thinking to ask, "Dude, why do they call you that?"
teleute12: Right.
vampychick: Of course, his answer would probably be, "Piss off and die," but hey, whatever.
teleute12: Hee
vampychick: Such a cynic. Gotta love it.
teleute12: They took out the most amusing part of his I'm not short! overreaction, though.
vampychick: Oh?
teleute12: In the sub, he's all, "Who did you say was small like a grain of rice and didn't show up in your sight?!"
teleute12: And everyone else is all, "Uh, we didn't say that."
vampychick: Hee!

So. Cos? You maybe wanna tell me why he can make the pike-thingy without a circle? 'Cause Telly's like, totally being a bitch.
