I'm outrageously proud of it! I've only seen two episodes of the show, so I left the other character unknown, since I don't have the faintest clue who it might be, either.



“Lie.”

“Excuse me?”

“Lie. Say you stepped on a land mine. And...fell on another land mine. That explains your arm.”

“I’m not going to lie! And a land mine??”

“You don’t have to say you stepped on a land mine. You could’ve been in a traffic accident, or...run over by a stampeding herd of goats.”

“No!”

“Okay, let’s try it my way. Hello, my name is Edward Elric, and I am clumsy and/or incredibly unlucky. Now, your way. My name is Edward Elric, and I am being punished...for breaking the laws of God.”

“...so, a land mine, huh?”

Thank you! I'm terrified I come off sounding like an idiot because, hi, I've only seen two freakin' episodes (and Telly refuses to spoil me darn her).

I'm trying to write a counterpart to this for Al, but it won't write. I'm having difficulty coming up with lies to explain the armor.

Well, actually, the armor's pretty easy to explain. It's the little-boy voice that gives me fits.
