Hockey Can Be Fun

So, Telly's at a hockey game. She's been calling me occasionally to ask me what the hell things are: hooking, roughing, icing, high-sticking. That kind of thing. She's apparently at a very violent game.

She just called me again.

Me: Hello?
Telly: Slashing.
Me *thinking*: Slashing? Um, it's something to do with the stick. *realize what I just said when Telly bursts out laughing* But not the good kind of slashing. I think it's when you hit the other guy in the back of the legs with the stick.
Telly: *continues to laugh*
Me: I can just see that now. Two guys start making out. "Two minutes for slashing!" And then they're in the penalty box..."Quick, we've only got two minutes!"
Telly: I'll bet there's something like that on the internet somewhere.
Me: I would not be surprised.
