I have the rough draft of my English paper due tomorrow. My professor, a very nice lady in almost every other regard, requires rough drafts and only gives us two absences per semester. One of which I already took by accident when a twenty-minute nap turned into a three-hour nap. But anyway, the paper. We have seven options to choose from, all of which involve poetry.

I like poetry, don't get me wrong. But when told to analyze it, I don't come up with three to five pages, or any deep philosophical meaning. I come up with, "Keats was trying to get Fanny Brawne to sleep with him. He succeeded. Go Keats!"

One of the paper topics,

Investigate the secularization of the Christian narrative in one or more of the poems we have read so far. How is this carried out? Are the ideals similar or does the poem seem to stray from them and construct different kinds of ideals? What problems arise, either implicitly or explicitly as the poem develops its 'replacement' narrative? What is the attitude of the speaker towards his/her construction--triumphant, depressed, ambivalent--and why?

Meeble.

Another has to do with Romantic Prometheanism. I don't even know what Romantic Prometheanism is. Maybe we discussed it in class that day I slept through it. I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm in BUI. That pretty much guarantees I'm a champion bullshitter. I've written papers on things I knew sweet fuck-all about before. But I am not going to write a paper on something I have to Google just to get a definition.

So, am procrastinating. Am working on story, and I need some help. Situation: Girl A is handcuffed to Guy B, her right wrist to his left, for very good reasons we won't go into right now. They are waiting on Guy C to show up with the key. If they're standing her back to his front (sharing a coat, more specifically), what position would be most comfortable for the handcuffed arms?

I need handcuffs. And a volunteer. Where's Orlando Bloom when you need him?

Your computer went offline, online, offline, online, and then stayed off. What happened?

Also, the new Pairing List is up. 24 is Vanyel Ashkevron (The Last Herald Mage)/Megabyte Damon (New Series Tomorrow People). (Sez TP, -- Okay, everybody who keeps submitting Tomorrow People characters from the '90s series? I love you, even if they keep ending up with characters I don't know.) I barely remember anything about the Tommorow People series, but you know, I really want to see that pairing.

383. Daniel Rydell (Sports Night)/Alphonse Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist) I love this pairing list. I really fucking do.

519. White Witch (Narnia)/Darsha (Wolf's Rain) That would probably work, in some fucked-up and twisted way.
