Chocolatl

I'd had a Chantico from Starbucks before, and wasn't that impressed. I thought people raving about its strength and how they couldn't even finish it were, frankly, pussies. So, after English class, needing a shot of chocolatey goodness to get me through what's left of Dies Irae Valentine's Day, I stopped off at Starbucks and ordered two.

That was a mistake.

It would seem that my previous Chantico was made by an inferior barrista, at something like quarter-strength. I can now speak only in jitters.

Alas, my warning (http://www.livejournal.com/users/zonereyrie/437441.html) didn't reach you in time. ;-)

I have wanted to try the Chantico, but I am a creature of habit and have a difficult time deviating from my usual mocha. Now that I know it makes you super hyper, I'll have to try it.

The only mystery is how they get ten pounds of chocolate into that little bitty cup.

willo, I'm starting to think we're the same person. I only get mochas at Starbucks too! I've wanted to try the Chanitco, but it's sort of expensive, no?

Vamp -- is the Chantico really sweet? Super chocolatey I can take -- I think my blood is something like 37% cacao -- but if it's super sweet, I won't be able to have it. I myself have refrained from trying it, because the mocha is about as sweet as I like my chocolate these days. Even Starbucks's hot chocolate is too sweet for me.

Caffiene has no effect on me, which is why if this Chantico is half as strong as you say it is, it'll be a welcome addition to my attempts to pull all-nighters.

It is kind of expensive. Like, two bucks sixty or something for that little cup, but that little cup packs a hell of a wallop.

It's not super-sweet, just super-strong. It's not very sweet at all, really, more bittersweet. It's like they took really dark chocolate and melted it, and put it in a cup. It's gooooood.

Yes, I can see how the Chantico would help with an all-nighter.

Now you're creeping me out, dude. I tried a Toffee Nut Latte once, and while it was good, I regretted not getting my usual mocha, and I haven't ordered it again.

I don't like super-sweet stuff either. I prefer dark chocolate. Since Vampy has confirmed it's a bittersweet, now I'm even more curious.

I'm going to try it too, and I don't even like chocolate that much. Do you see what negative reviews do? Hee.

I won't try illegal drugs, though, don't you worry.

It's SO GOOD, seriously. Try it.

But use in moderation.

I tried it. I couldn't finish it. That is WAY too much chocolate for me.

You could give the rest to Nai...

HAHAHAHA! Reread your post and think about why that's kerrazy. Hee.

Also, Nai doesn't like chocolate. Heeeeee.

Oh, I know exactly why that's kerazy. ;)

She'll learn.

Oh dear. Now I'm reconsidering trying even one of those, because caffiene does not a happy Telly make. Maybe when I have someone to drink half of it for me.

Okay.

This "Abraham, Martin and John" isn't the version I've heard on the radio. Same person, but different style. Huh.
