Bible Belt
Feb. 1st, 2005 01:52 amAt my parents' church on Sunday, the preacher made reference to the 'brotherly love' of David and Jonathon in his sermon. I quietly stuffed my fist in my mouth. I'm not sure what would have come out if I hadn't, but some options include:
hysterical laughter
"Oh, Jonathon, thy love surpasses the love of women!"
"Oh, my God, have you READ the chapter you're citing??"
"Yes. That's why he took off his clothes for him. He thought of him as his brother. Of course, it all makes so much more sense now!"
"Cousins. Cousins, totally cousins. In conclusion: cousins."
or
"Oh, come on, everybody knows they were totally gay for each other!"
Pick your favorite!
PS Agh Russian homework DIE KILL OOZE.
PPS I so totally picked up The 10th Kingdom on DVD for ten bucks. Envy me.

Challenge!
Feb. 1st, 2005 07:35 amThe other day,
teleute12 and I were spamming each other with pictures of hot guys from
rightclicklick while Telly avoided doing her homework and I avoided writing my English paper, and one of us (I forget who) sent the other this link. And we both agreed that the pictures of Orlando Bloom in full Legolas costume, on horseback, with the green bandana and sunglasses were fantastic. And what's more, they would be fantastic even without knowing the backstory. I've accidentally closed out of the window just now while I was looking for the exact quote, but Telly said something like, "It's like those urban fantasies, where elves live among us."
And then I said, "There should be fic."
Telly agreed. What's more, she said I should write it. Thanks, Telly.
But it gave me an idea. So, here's what I propose.
The First Ever Remix the Image Writing Challenge
Details ( under the cut )
7. If you submit an image, you are not required to write a fic, but it would be nice.
8. If you want to submit a fic, you are not required to have submitted an image, but it would be nice.
9. Your writings are yours to do as you will with, but I'd like a link.
10. You can write about your own image, if you so desire, but I'd prefer to mix things up a little.
So, sound like fun? Any takers?
If this does sound like something you're interested in, please participate, and pimp this out. I want maximum participation.
For the first image in the Remix the Image Writing Challenge, I'd like to propose that picture of Orlando Bloom from the beginning of the post.
GO!
Edited to add some rules that occurred to me as a good idea while I was trying to remember the epithets of Zeus (Sadly, 'manwhore' was not a choice.Though it should have been.).
