In The Wee Hours

I have come to the conclusions that:

1. I am getting a tattoo of the owl of Athena. I've decided my shoulder blade is the least problematic place to get it. There's just one problem: the dreaded wedding dress phenomena. Tattoos that look just plain cool at all other times look horrendous and tacky when one is in formal wear.

Unless one is Angelina Jolie, and I doubt even she could pull it off with most wedding dresses. But then, Angelina Jolie wouldn't be caught dead in most wedding dresses. Perhaps the problem is that most women are just not enough like Angelina Jolie.

Of course, this presupposes I get married, which presupposes that I find a guy willing to marry me. Since the way things are going now is indicative of lifelong chastity, this may be a moot point.

2. I will eventually be adopting. Probably from Ethiopia.

3. I will be spending this summer volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. I may be a puny weakling, but I can follow directions with the best of them.

4. The Brontes were of the devil.

5. If this headache doesn't go away soon, I am going to hurt something.

An imaginary conversation between me and the Cute Fluffy Evil, as we drove down the highway back to Tuscaloosa. I think George's yowling was driving me slowly insane.

George: Let me out!
Me: NO!
George: Let me out!
Me: SHUT UP.
George: Let me out LET ME OUT LET ME OUT!!!
Me: Oh my God, if you shut up Mommy will give you a cookie.
George: You lie.
Me: And how have you come to this conclusion?
George: There are no cookies in evidence, therefore you are lying.
Me: I said if. If you shut up, you will get a cookie. So far, you haven't shut the hell up.
George: ...let me out.
Me: No.
George: Let me out or I will eat Miss Bailey.
Me: No.
Miss Bailey: No, really, dude, he's biting my neck. Help me!
Me: We're almost there!

Chilled Plum

I have dyed my hair purple.

I have also dyed a towel, a t-shirt, an alarming amount of my skin, and a patch of the bathroom counter purple, but thankfully no patches of cat. I fully remember now why I usually let TR dye my hair for me. The purple is more understated than I was hoping for, and there are some definite areas of brown visible, but whatever, it's temporary.
